Brazil to Ottawa in business class. When flying with Air Canada, the flight was present, but when we landed and had to wait for our luggage in Toronto for customs. Then in Ottawa we had our luggage check again. We have our luggage tag with priority tags but each time we had to wait an hour for customs.
FRA-YYZ on Boeing 777w. The flight was fine, decent food, comfortable seats and lots of entertainment. My only complaint is the flight attendants from Air Canada could be a little more responsive. I pressed the button 3 times to ask for an extra blanket and no one came.
I flew on an Embraer 190. The seat looked comfortable at first, but when you spend 5.5 hours in it you find that it is not that comfortable. This aircraft should only be used on 2 hour flights or shorter.
I was going from Montreal, QC (Metropolitan Area) – YMQ to Calgary, AB (Calgary International Airport) – YYC
Economy class Vancouver-London Heathrow.
New 777-300 with good seat space and on-demand IFE system. But the servicewere not so good. Food was not bad but was served as quickly as possible, no drinks served prior to the meal. All disposable catering equipment, hot drinks in polystyrene cups. Very cheap impression. Saving grace was the strong tail winds that gave us a mercifully short 8-hour flying time. BA are so much better than this lot.
I went to Hong Kong with Air Canada 2 years ago. It was a 16 hours ride in the economic class. The only complaint I have with them is their lack of entertainment. Each seats have its own LCD monitor, you can select what you want to watch, but there is it much movies to select and the movies they have was not so entertaining.
I’ll have to remind myself next time to bring my laptop full of movies and games.
